Dr. Byoungho Zoh, also known as “Dr. Tong” created an approach called ‘Tong’ (통:通 pass through, common, communicate) which is a method that attempts to fuse the heart and mind and also to combine the Eastern and Western cultures of the world.

He holds a Ph.D in Historical Theology from the University of Birmingham in the UK and is the president of Bible Tongdokwon, an educational institution for studying the Word of God. In 2004, he participated as one of the co-authors for the German Theology Dictionary RGG4 with the article entiltled Studentische Missionsbewegung and in 2006, he was invited as a speaker at the Royal Historical Society in the UK. Also in 2006, he declared the new way of Reading through the Bible through the Tong Method. This was followed by the Seoul Declaration conference called Re orientation Thur the Bible for 140 theologians. The official Formula for Tong Bible was launched in 2014.

A prolific writer and bestselling author in Korea, Dr. Zoh has written over thirty books including Bible with the Ancient Wars, Bible with Ancient Politics, and Bible Tongdok. The Korean Christian Publication Association(KCPA) gave several awards to Dr. Zoh including the first prize in 2011 for his work, The Rise and Fall of the Five Empires in the Bible.
